Doctor Scott Fosko is currently a Consultant and the Chair of the Department of Dermatology, Mayo Clinic, Florida. He maintains appointments as Adjunct Professor, Department of Dermatology and Saint Louis University Center for Outcomes Research at Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
Dr Fosko is Past-President of the American College of Mohs Surgery 2013-2014 where he led the most recent Strategic Planning Initiative for the College. Prior to joining the Mayo Clinic he was a Faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at Saint Louis University from 1993-2015, and served as the Chair from 2000-2015.
Dr Fosko served as Interim Director, Saint Louis University Cancer Center and held secondary appointments in the Departments of Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine and Head and Neck Surgery, Otolaryngology. At Saint Louis University Dr Fosko developed the first Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology Division and served as its Director.
Dr Fosko is an active clinical researcher with a particular interest in basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas. He has served as the principal investigator on multiple clinical studies, including vismodegib for basal cell carcinoma and imiquimod for lentiginous melanomas.
