Associate Professor Samuel Zagarella is the Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Sydney and Supervisor of Training at the Department of Dermatology, Concord Hospital Sydney. He is also Chair of the Academic Research Committee of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and the Chair of the Teaching Learning and Curriculum Committee, which has just completed the new Dermatology training curriculum for College to come into effect in 2017.




Dr Ian Hamann is a dermatologist based in Port Macquarie, on the NSW Mid North Coast. He is also a visiting medical officer at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, supervising a monthly transplant dermatology clinic.

The Port Macquarie practice takes a rural dermatology registrar from the Westmead rotation four days a fortnight. Dr Hamann is a conjoint senior lecturer for the UNSW, teaching medical students from the Rural Medical School, Port Macquarie.


Dr Monisha Gupta is an International Medical Graduate who has over 20 years of international experience as a Dermatologist. Her main areas of interest are chronic diseases and infections in dermatology.

Dr Gupta has set up the first Pigmentary Disorders Clinic in Australia at The Skin Hospital, Darlinghurst and supervises a nurse led Camouflage Clinic. She enjoys working with the challenges that she encounters in the diverse populations working across different suburbs of the city from Leumeah in South West Sydney to Chatswood in the North.

Dr Gupta was the inaugural NSW representative on the Teaching Learning and Curriculum Committee from 2010 to 2013. She was the Director of Training for NSW thereafter until 2016.

Prior to that Dr Gupta was the Supervisor of Training at Liverpool hospital and the Skin and Cancer Foundation, Darlinghurst. She is a conjoint senior lecturer at UNSW, and a guest lecturer at UWS.

As co- convener for the Annual Scientific Meeting for 2017, she is looking forward to bringing new ideas to the conference.
